Does the language of a particular text affect the interpretation of its numerological significance under the system of gematria?

When considering the spiritual significance of a text, numerology plays an incredibly important role. In modern times, this is especially true when examining texts through the lens of gematria. Gematria is a system in which numbers are assigned to letters to uncover the hidden meaning behind a text. For example, in the English alphabet each letter corresponds to a specific numerical value. A is 1, B is 2 and so on until Z which is 26. Within this system words and phrases can be assigned numerical values based on their individual letter's numerical equivalent, and with this comes an understanding of potential spiritual revelations that may lie within the text.

One question that often arises when dealing with gematria is whether or not the language of the text being examined affects its interpretation from a numerological point of view. Although there are differences among languages and scripts, at its core, gematria remains relatively consistent regardless of the language being studied—all that changes is how each character differs in its numerical representation. For example, if looking at Hebrew gematria then aleph (א) will hold more significance than aleph (Α) if looking at Greek gematria because they have different numerical values that would affect a words overall numerical value when combined with other characters.
